In Trinidad we called it Phagwa, in our sugar cane Bhojpuri; we sprayed coloured water at each other instead of throwing powders, and typically wore white so the colours would show up better.  I remember chasing boys around with a spray bottle in the dusty yard of the tiny Hindu temple at the end of Railway Road.  Not that I particularly enjoyed crowds or rambunctious play, but seeing those boys cower did fire a fierce satisfaction up in my heart!

Holi has always seemed like both the most fun holiday ever and at the same time, the best opportunity you’ll ever get to get millions of rainbow dust particles in your eyes

but yes I want to be ALL THE COLORS!!!!
